Today Peter Berkman showed me “BREATHTAKING”, a 27-page internal document allegedly prepared by the people who made the new Pepsi logo.
I can’t tell if it’s real or not! I seems like a genius hoax, but perhaps it is cutting-edge con artistry or perhaps legitimate high-level insanity.
Screenshots are here. You can also download the PDF.

  5. evanwalsh answered: From what I can tell, all that garbage about gravitational pull was for real.
  6. maybememe answered: I had read somewhere the brand strategy for the new pepsi logo had influence from the obama campaign
  7. karmcity reblogged this from jakelodwick and added:
An incredible amount of seemingly arbitrary design principles. This...why artists teeter...

  9. kylewritescode answered: Sadly, yes. I believe that firm was also responsible for the Tropicana mishap.
  10. dalasverdugo answered: I think cabel was the first person to show me this.
  11. sciencevsromance answered: I don’t know, but if it did we heard about it a while ago. They’re really bending the timestream, innovation-wise.
  12. andrewmuto answered: It is absolutely real. Peter Arnell’s company, the Arnell Group spearheaded the campaign as well as the recent disastrous Tropicana redesign
  13. Zack answered: “some thought it might be a hoax. It wasn’t” newsweek.com/id/1913…

  15. thijsjacobs answered: Horrible… just horrible. Maybe the PDF is meant to justify some of it.
  16. tylerhwillis answered: It seems to be real, there was some verification that the document was created within Arnell Group a few months back.
  17. shantkiraz answered: fan-freakin-tastic
  18. jayrobinson answered: Yes, presentation is everything.
  19. catbird answered: So I take it you’re completely unfamiliar with Peter Arnell? bit.ly/155Y4s

  23. intaipei answered: I highly doubt it, I think it’s just a stab at the poor design job OK’d by Pepsi.
  24. doug answered: It happened, and is verified. It was all over the web ~3 months ago.
  25. cwphoto answered: It looks far too pretentious to be real. I hope, for the sake of humanity, it’s a joke. =P
  26. ryanb answered: I’d agree that it’s a con job, but it was good enough to fool the higher ups at Pepsi.
